My review caught repeated deletion of the key protecting gateway and OAuth credentials. DavidMetcalfe’s merged repair preserves that key and verifies signing before reporting success.

The patch hardens the updater. Recurring keychain prompts and the separately tracked Electron migration remain distinct work.
